In early March, the New York Giants finalized its coaching staff for the 2017 season. In addition to promoting one member of the team’s existing staff, the Giants hired two new coaches.

Head coach Ben McAdoo promoted former defensive assistant Rob Leonard to the role of assistant defensive line coach, replacing Jeff Zgonina, who accepted a job with the San Francisco 49ers in February. Leonard has been with the Giants since 2013 and previously served as a graduate assistant at North Carolina State University.

Filling Leonard’s previous post is Bobby Blick, who spent last season as the director of player personnel for Army West Point. Blick has also worked as Samford University’s special teams coordinator.

Lastly, the Giants hired Pratik Patel as its assistant strength and conditioning coach and its director of performance nutrition. Before his position with the Giants, Patel maintained responsibilities as the sports nutrition coach for the University of Oregon.

That said, here are two quick tips for beginning golfers to keep in mind when trying to improve performance on the green. Make sure to use the proper form. Firmly grip the putter with both hands while keeping the arms and head still. The putting stroke works like a pendulum. Rock the shoulders straight back, and then swing them straight through the ball. The motion should be very smooth - no jerking or sudden movements.
